The dynamic clutch plate test rig from CFM Schiller is used for testing of the endurance limit of vehicle clutches, particularly for the mechanical components.
A servo-hydraulic rotary actuator with operating frequencies up to 30 Hz drives the test rig. The clutch plate specimen is placed in a temperature chamber, which can be continuously heated and controlled to a temperature of 150°C (300°F). The rotary actuator applies reversed torque to the specimen according to the demanded stress on the material.
The test rig is decoupled from the carrying framework through four CFM Air Springs type MAS. This feature prevents transmission of occurring vibrations into the surroundings.
